My Blog and Me

Marley’s the name, baking’s the game. As a 13-year-old in middle school, they do a lot to help you find an extracurricular activites. And I’m all for that, running, dancing, student council, honor society, sounds good to me, but what about when the season’s over. And when the weekend starts and when summer begins? Don’t you need something to do at home?

Since my mother’s side is Italian and my dad’s workin on his red white and green card, I was raised in the kitchen; chicken, ratatouille, breads, and soups have all been made at my house, but I fell in love with baking, not always sweet things but baking is my thing. But for those of you that need recipes, that’s where I come in. Whether you’re just looking for a laugh or ready for something tasty I’m your place to look. Follow me on my journey to bake as many yummy things as possible. I aim to post 1-2 times per week, but when my homework piles up a mile high, we might have to reschedule for next week.
Best wishes, good luck and good eats,
Marley

  9. Hellooooo my dear. Makenzie and I are about to make your last recipe for cookies. Not sure of the name but I believe you called it “wrap it up and I’ll take two”. I wanted to double check and make sure I understood one of the ingredients. At the end you say to put semi sweet bakers chocolate shavings into the dough before rolling into balls. You mean the bakers chocolate that has that werid taste (meaning when I was little I thought I hit the jackpot when I found my mothers bakers chocolate only to quickly discover it was not the chocolate I was hoping for) and not chocolate morsels? I always misunderstand things in recipes so I want to make sure I have it right. Makenzie gets a little mad when I mess up a recipe and it doesn’t taste like she hoped. I usually never live it down.

    THANK YOU!
    Makenzie and Tori

    1. No, the chocolate you are thinking of is Unsweetened, no sugar added. The semi-sweet chocolate that i mentioned has some sugar. In this case you can use chocolate chips. Live laugh love bake and good luck!

  10. Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wished to say that I’ve truly enjoyed surfing around your blog posts. After all I will be subscribing to your rss feed and I hope you write again very soon!

  11. Marley,

Great job on the Symposium last night. I am now a proud follower of your blog through Feedly. I made a similar comment to Lauren that I spent time as a professional blogger (albeit discussing facets of engineering et. al.), so if you ever want to talk shop, let me know! I love talking about blogging and one of the parts I miss about teaching the most is working with students on blogging.
